Litany of Faith
The prayer that turns bolter-fire aside
- Spoken by
- Adepta Sororitas
- Refrain
- “The Emperor protects.”
Context
Faith, for the Adepta Sororitas, is not a feeling. It is a weapon, drilled into them from Schola Progenium onwards, sharpened by hymn and fast and vigil. The Litany of Faith is the one they speak when the line is about to break — and somehow, sometimes, miracles answer. Las-fire turns aside. Wounds knit shut. A Sister stands where she should have fallen.
No one in the Ecclesiarchy will admit that the miracles are anything other than the Emperor's grace. The Inquisition has its own theories. Either way, where the Litany of Faith is spoken in chorus, the enemy falters.
The Litany
I have no fear, for the Emperor walks beside me.
I have no doubt, for His voice is in my prayer.
I have no pain, for my body is His altar.
I have no death, for my soul is His.
Where He looks, the heretic withers.
Where He marches, the night falls back.
Faith is my shield. Hymn is my blade.
By His unblinking gaze, I will not fall.
