Context
Every Blood Angel carries the death of Sanguinius in his blood. When the curse takes hold — when a brother forgets his name and lives again the moment of his Primarch's murder — there is no return. There is only the Death Company.
The Litany of Fury is the prayer his brothers speak over him as they bind black tabards onto his armour and place a fresh chainsword in his hand. He may not understand the words any longer. He understands the weight, the smell of incense, the chaplain's voice. He understands he is going to die well.
The Litany
Brother, the curse has found you. Brother, you are loved still.
Sanguinius weeps. So do we.
Take this sword. Take this charge.
Where the dying go, go before us.
Where the traitor stands, fall upon him.
Your name is forgotten — your name is honoured.
Bleed the last of yourself out, beloved son.
And in the bleeding, find your Primarch.
