Krieg betrayed the Imperium, then turned upon itself in nuclear retribution. The world that remains is irradiated bone, and the soldiers it produces are bred in vats with one purpose: to die well, in penance, in trenches dug for the Emperor. The Death Korps speak rarely. They mourn rarely. They fix bayonets and walk forward through gas and mud until the war is over or they are. To call yourself Krieg is to take your living for a debt and pay it gladly.
