The Deathwatch is not a Chapter — it is a sentence. Battle-brothers from every loyalist Chapter take a Long Vigil within its Watch-Fortresses, hunting xenos threats so terrible that no single Chapter can be trusted with them alone. They wear black, with the silver right pauldron of their parent Chapter. Their bolters are loaded with specialist rounds for every alien anatomy. Their kill-teams answer the Inquisition's call when worlds whisper of the Tyranid, the Necron, the Eldar. To be drafted is to leave one brotherhood for another.
