Crimson-soiled homeworld of the Blood Angels

Baal is irradiated, scorched, and beautiful. Its red sands hide ruins of pre-Imperial civilisations. Its moons Baal Primus and Baal Secundus once cradled human survivors who would become the first Blood Angels.
